GENERAL MAINTENANCE
• Due to packaging and transit, straight wigs may slightly change shape when received. Simply place the wig on a wig stand or lightly straighten if needed
• Use a lightweight hair serum for straight and bouncy wavy textures. Apply 1 to 2 small pumps only. Avoid heavy oils or excessive products as they can weigh the hair down and cause damage over time.
STORAGE
Proper storage plays a major role in maintaining your wig’s longevity and shape.
• Short and long straight wigs: Store on a wig stand or mannequin to maintain structure and prevent bending.
• Curly wigs such as Pixie, Water Curls, Deep Wave: Enclose in the wig net before storing to preserve curl definition.
• Bounce and Wavy wigs: After each wear, enclose in the wig net and place inside your Bu Hairs ziplock bag to prevent curls from dropping quickly.
STYLING & MAINTENANCE
Always apply a heat protectant before using hot tools on your straight, bouncy & wavy hairs.
• Curly textures such as Pixie and Water Curls should be revived using a water and leave-in conditioner mix.
- Use a mixture of water and leave-in conditioner in a spray bottle to maintain and redefine your curls, Always detangle first using a detangling brush or finger comb, but only when the hair is damp or wet, Be mindful of your brush type, as the wrong tool can negatively impact the curl pattern.
- Straighten long straight and short units as needed to maintain a sleek finish.
- Bounce and wavy textures can be maintained & re-curled using heatless methods like flexi bendable rollers or A curling iron.
- Do not hang after styling, as gravity will cause the curls to drop faster.
- Environment: Always store your wigs in a safe place, free from dust, water, and direct sunlight.
