Hair Care Tips & Maintenance
1. Upon Delivery Packaging and transit can alter the shape of the hair, especially for straight and bob wigs. Be sure to brush and straighten the unit upon receipt to restore its original look. Always use a brush recommended for your specific wig type to prevent excessive shedding.
2. Styling & Routine
- Setup: It is recommended to place your wig on a mannequin or canvas head during your styling routine for the best results.
- Products: A high-quality hair serum is best for straight and bouncy units. Apply 1–2 small pumps twice weekly. Avoid heavy oils or using too much product, as this can weigh down the hair and cause damage.
3. Curly Hair Care (Pixie, Water Curls, etc.)
- Hydration: Use a mixture of water and leave-in conditioner in a spray bottle to maintain and revive your curls.
- Detangling: Always detangle first using a detangling brush or finger comb, but only when the hair is damp or wet.
- Tools: Be mindful of your brush type, as the wrong tool can negatively impact the curl pattern.
4. Bouncy & Wavy Hair Maintenance
- To maintain the curls, use a curling iron or bendable heatless rollers (flexi rods).
- Do not hang these wigs, as gravity will cause the curls to drop faster.
5. Proper Storage
- Environment: Always store your wigs in a safe place, free from dust, water, and direct sunlight.
- Method: For short or straight styles, a wig stand or hanger is recommended. For other textures, enclose the wig in a hairnet and store it in a Ziploc bag after each wear.
